Works in Chrome, Edge, Samsung Internet and Brave. If you saw the Install button above, that does the same thing in one tap.
- 1
Open the browser menu
The three dots, top right in Chrome. Samsung Internet uses three lines at the bottom.
- 2
Tap “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”
The wording depends on the browser and its version — either one is the right thing.
- 3
Confirm
The anchor appears in your app drawer and on your home screen, and opens without the browser bars.
Why bother
One tap from your home screen
An anchor icon alongside your other apps, opening straight into the site with no address bar in the way.
Quicker on a weak signal
The parts that never change are kept on your phone, so only the things that matter — dates, prices — come down the line.
Does not fall over offline
Pages you have already opened still work in a dead spot. Anything about availability waits for a connection rather than guessing.
Nothing to uninstall
It is the website, saved. No app store account, no updates to approve, and a few hundred kilobytes rather than a few hundred megabytes.
Is this safe? Yes — it is the same website you are on now, saved to your home screen by your own browser. It cannot see anything on your phone, it is not in any app store, and removing it is the same as deleting any other icon.
